The Doors coffee shop in Amsterdam & Mrs Rustic enjoying some dutch ‘special’ cake!
For those that want to know…the cake (as we dont smoke) was from the bluebird coffee shop situated at the end of damstraat just a couple of doors down from Cafe Reefer.
The bluebird was recommended to us by another cafe that had ran out of cake that day. The menu of non-smoking items was impressive, cake, muffins, cookies, lollipops and yoggies. Apparently they have a sushi night as well! Got to say though, whats with the lethal staircase in a weed shop!
Great little place, very friendly and the people are more than happy to advise newbies and show them what is what.
Various pics from an Amsterdam canal cruise.
Easily the best way to see the city and for me, the ones with a couple of stops where you can jump off and explore a little are the best.
In the lions den!
A bar in Winterswijk watching the Holland vs Denmark Euro 2012 game with fans of the Oranje. Great crowd and atmosphere, well until they lost anyway :-)
Arrived back from our holiday in Winterswijk on the Dutch/German border.
A bit of a drive but the journey took in the cross channel ferry to calais, bruges, gent, antwerp, breda and arnhem before getting to the border towns. Sadly the journey back included some hefty traffic jams too!
We visited Amsterdam (via arnhem and utrecht), the local towns of aarten, breevoort and Winterswijk and had a day in Germany at borken and Bocholt. Great times :-)
Will post some pics and stuff later!
